51 Maes Padarn is a three bedroom house on the edge of the small town of Llanberis in the heart of Snowdonia. It is a comfortable 'home from home' suitable for families or couples. The accommodation comprises a lounge, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor and one double bedroom one twin bedroom and one single bedroom on the first floor. There is a bathroom and a separate toilet on the first floor. To the front and back of the house there are small gardens laid to grass. The house offers unparalleled access to the tourist attractions of the area; Llyn Padarn, a large lake suitable for canoing, windsurfing, sailing and rowing, two narrow gauge railways; the Snowdon Mountain Railway which takes visitors to the top of Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales (3,560 feet) and the Llanberis Lake Railway which runs along the shores of the lake. There is also immediate access to The Electric Mountain, a revolutionary pump storage hydroelectricity scheme which offers tours of the hydroelectric plant and to the Vivian Diving Centre which offers scuba diving in waters from 6 to 18m deep and which usually offers great visibility all year round. There is a platform anchored at 6m for training along with various things to see, such as trout, common eels, sunken boats, van, blast hut, house and a gnome garden. There is also almost immediate access from the house to one of the main walking routes up Snowdon, the Llanberis path. Rock climbers will find a wide variety of climbs of various difficulty within a short distance of the house.
